TOWN OF MOHAWK – A Johnstown man led state police on a brief chase Friday night that ended in the driveway of his residence, troopers said.
The incident began at about 9:30 p.m. on Route 67 in the Town of Mohawk as troopers spotted a car speeding, state police said.
Troopers attempted to pull the driver over, but the driver sped off, driving recklessly, state police said. Troopers then arrested the driver after he pulled into his residence driveway. In his possession, troopers found 13.5 grams of marijuana, troopers said.
The driver was identified as William R. Kenyon, 21, of Johnstown. He faces one count of unlawfully fleeing a police officer, a misdemeanor, and a violation for marijuana possession. He also faces numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Kenyon was released to appear in court later.
