
BALLSTON – A pedestrian struck and killed Sunday night on Route 50 in Ballston has been identified as a Schenectady man, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
Todd M. Johnson, 32, of Hamilton Street, Schenectady, was struck and killed just before 7:30 p.m. on Route 50, near Tomaselli Court, officials said.
Officials identified the driver as Bryan E. Mei, 42, city of residence unavailable.
No charges are expected against the driver, officials said.
Investigators determined that Mei was driving south on Route 50 when he struck Johnson. Mei immediately stopped and reported the crash. Mei was not under the influence.
Investigators determined Johnson was in the roadway when the crash occurred, officials said.
An autopsy on Johnson is expected later.
The crash remained under investigation Monday afternoon by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation and Collision Reconstruction Units.
