
BALLSTON – A Broadalbin man led state police on a brief pursuit Monday in Ballston, troopers said.
The pursuit ended when the driver, identified as Thomas J. Green, 30, ultimately pulled over, state police said.
The incident began shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Middleline Road in the Town of Ballston, state police said.
Troopers spotted Green commit a traffic infraction and attempted to pull him over, but Green continued on and attempted to flee, state police said.
“Police pursued the vehicle for a short distance before Green complied and pulled over,” state police said in a release.
Troopers soon determined Green had multiple suspensions on his license and the vehicle was unregistered, uninspected and uninsured, police said. Green also possessed a small amount of marijuana, troopers said.
Green faces one count each of unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, along with one count of violation marijuana possession.
Green was arraigned and ordered held on $500 bail.
