Aneesa Waheed, owner of Tara Kitchen in Schenectady, with Bobby Flay

SCHENECTADY – While many of the details of Aneesa Waheed’s upcoming appearance on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” won’t be known until her episode airs later this month, the network has now released two still images from her appearance.

Waheed, owner of Schenectady’s Tara Kitchen, is set to appear on the show that airs March 21 at 10 p.m. The show involves two chefs competing for the opportunity to go up against the show’s namesake in a final culinary face-off.

In one of the stills released, the chef known for her is seen plating a dish onto what appears to be flatbread. Audience members can be seen behind her on a balcony overlooking the studio kitchen.

In the other still, Waheed is seeing talking directly with Flay as she cooks at the studio stove.

The only other clues to the appearance come from the episode’s brief synopsis:

“Greeking Out” The kitchen goes metal when Iron Chef Jose Garces and Worst Cooks in America’s Anne Burrell team up to take down their good friend Bobby Flay. They’ve handpicked “Tagine Queen” Aneesa Waheed and hard-hitting chef Ryan Lory to deliver the win.
