Siena men’s lacrosse off to 2-0 start in MAAC

LOUDONVILLE — Jack Kiernan scored six goals, and the Siena men’s lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in MAAC play with a 14-7 victory over Manhattan on Saturday at Hickey Field.

The last time the Saints (4-2 overall) won their first two MAAC games was in 2014, the year they won the MAAC tournament title.

Siena broke open a 4-4 halftime score by outscoring Manhattan (1-1, 4-4) 6-2 in the third quarter to take a 10-6 lead. The Saints put the game away with a 4-1 run in the fourth quarter.

Mike Reilly had three goals and an assist for the Saints. Dylan Pantalone added two goals and two assists.

Siena returns to action next Saturday when it visits Canisius.
