MALTA — The American Red Cross Northeastern New York chapter provided emergency assistance to six people after a fire Thursday night on Carlyle Court, off Round Lake Road.

The Round Lake Fire Department said damage was limited primarily to the kitchen of the single-family residence and adjoining areas. The department received the call at 8:31 p.m., and arriving units found flames coming from a kitchen window and requested mutual aid. “Crews made an aggressive interior attack and limited most of the damage to the kitchen and the adjoining areas,” the department said in a Facebook post.

Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Malta Ridge and Jonesville volunteer fire companies and members of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department. No injuries were reported. The Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team is investigating the cause.
