South Glens Falls shut out Schenectady/Mohonasen 17-0 in a boys’ lacrosse non-league game on Tuesday.

Cavan Krug had five goals and two assists for SGF, Zack Lefave and Darrin Weller each scored four goals and two assists and Cole Dennis added three goals and had one assist.

CBA defeated Troy 20-8 in a Suburban Council game behind Anthony Pizzola’s six goals and three assists, Freddie Smith’s three goals and six assists and Ben Curro’s five goals. Troy was led by four goals from Tyrone Jones and a pair from Tanner Sheremeta.

Erik Makhatadze scored seven goals as Shenendehowa defeated Colonie 17-1. Shenendehowa was also led by Matt Newhall with two goals and an assist, and Billy Beach with two goals.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake defeated Saratoga Springs 16-9. Caden LaPietro had five goals and three assists, Tyler McHerron scored four goals and Ryan Salsbury added three goals. Saratoga was led by Huck Patton and Charlie Beck with three goals and an assist each.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Shenendehowa shut out Colonie 19-0 in a Suburban Council game behind McKenzie Ballard’s four goals and two assists, Grace Palowodzinski’s three goals and an assist and Kira Tucker’s three goals.

Bethlehem defeated Averill Park 17-4, led by Caroline Wise’s four goals and two assists, Lindsay Ayers’ three goals and two assists and Mae Healy’s three goals.

Saratoga Springs edged Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 12-11. Lindsay Frank had five goals and an assist for the Blue Streaks, and Ella Payer added three goals and had four assists. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake was led by MK Lescault’s five goals and an assist, and Allie Connelly’s three goals.

Johnstown defeated Hoosick Falls 15-8 in a Foothills Council game, led by Maddie Etherton’s six goals and one assist and Abbey Hollister’s five goals and three assists.

BASEBALL

Thomas Phelan pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts as Waterford-Halfmoon beat Stillwater 15-0 in a Wasaren League game.Ryan McCarroll slapped the game-tying RBI single with two outs in the seventh inning to tie the game, and Saratoga Central Catholic scored five runs in the top of the eighth inning to beat Hoosick Falls  12-7. McCarroll finished with three hits and three RBI, and also pitched six innings of two-hit ball with 10 strikeouts.

Albany defeated Holy Names 9-4 in a non-league game behind a two-hit day for Hayley Townsend.

Jailene Santiago threw a complete game one-hitter, Marissa Correra had two doubles and Emery Sawitzki doubled to lead Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons to a 10-0 Western Athletic Conference victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.
