BALLSTON SPA – A Scotia man admitted this week to raping a woman in Providence, Saratoga County District Attorney’s officials say.
Paul E. Horton Jr., 24, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court Tuesday to one count of first-degree rape, officials said.
He admitted to raping the woman in the Town of Providence in October 2016, officials said.
Saratoga County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Horton in December on accusations he overpowered the victim and raped her at a residence, officials said then.
Horton is expected to get seven years in state prison at his sentencing in May, court officials said.
Still to be determined is the length of his post-release supervision. He could get as little as five years or as much as 20. The judge is to decide that at sentencing.
