GLENVILLE – An early Sunday fire damaged an apartment building in Glenville, but no major injuries were reported, police said.

Firefighters from Thomas Corners responded to the fire just after 2 a.m. for a fire at the Collier Apartments, 435 Ballston Road.

Firefighters contained the fire to one apartment, but other apartments sustained smoke and water damage, police said.

The Red Cross responded to assist displaced residents.

The fire appeared to be electrical in nature, police said.

Thomas Corners was assisted at the scene by multiple departments from Glenville and Scotia. Mohawk Ambulance, National Grid and members of the Schenectady County Office of the Fire Coordinator also responded.
