AMSTERDAM – An Amsterdam man robbed a gas station at knife-point earlier this month, police said Wednesday.
Breon M. Poole, 22, of 44 Bayard St., was arrested on one count each of third-degree robbery, a felony, and misdemeanor possession of a weapon.
Poole is accused of robbing Kings Food and Fuel on Guy Park Avenue April 13 just after 9:30 p.m., police said. The suspect stole cash from the register and fled.
Officers Tuesday then spotted a man fitting the suspect’s description and interviewed him. Police later found evidence from the crime at Poole’s residence and he made admissions of guilt, police said.
Poole was arrested and held for arraignment.
