Shenendehowa beat Ballston Spa 6-1 in a Suburban Council softball game Wednesday. Hannah Garrett went 2-for-4 and had two RBI for Shenendehowa, and Sophia Caputo had an RBI triple. 

Paige Davis went 2-for-3 for Ballston Spa with a double and an RBI.

Colette Cohen hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning to help Guilderland beat Colonie 7-6. Riley Sullivan and Alyssa Berg had a home run each.

Columbia beat Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 5-3.

Schlamont edged Albany Academy 9-7 in the Colonial Council. Erin Major hit a triple, and Sam Denny had a double for the Sabres. 

Watervliet beat Holy Names 9-2.

Ichabod Crane beat Voorheesville 23-3, with Jenna Downey going 3-for-4 with two home runs. Brittany Futia went 4-for-5 and hit a home run. Olivia Richardson had a double for Voorheesville. 

Cobleskill-Richmondville beat Catholic Central 9-8.

Gina Cassaro helped Scotia-Glenville to its 7-3 win over Glens Falls with a two-run single in the third inning in the Foothills Council game. Emma Schaub hit a triple for Scotia-Glenville.

Sydney Darling had a home run among her two hits and drove in two runs as Johnstown beat Gloversville 15-10. Sarah Pratt also drove in two runs for Johnstown, and Haylee Webb had two singles. Maddie Avery led Gloversville with three singles. Kendra Avery had a double and two RBI, and Ceilia Meher added two singles.

BASEBALL

Donovan Rhoden had two RBI to lead Ballston Spa to a 6-1 Suburban Council victory over Shenendehowa. 

Robert Erno had three RBI to lead Columbia to a 5-3 victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.  

Ethan Simard had two RBI and a double to lead Averill Park to a 5-3 victory over Troy. 

Matt Canastra had two singles to lead Colonie to a 4-3 victory over Guilderland. 

Nick Wilson had two RBI to lead Albany to an 8-5 victory over Schenectady. 

Ethan Drinon had a double, single, and two RBI to lead Schoharie to a 3-2 Western Athletic Conference victory. Shane Helmstadt threw a complete game with 16 strikeouts, striking out nine straight batters to end the game. Von Baker had a solo home run for OESJ. 

Giovanni DiCaprio went 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 4-1 victory over Canajoharie. 

Will Boltri hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a 10-9 victory over Duanesburg. 

Austin Walsh had six RBI, and Tylor Daley had two RBI to lead Ichabod Crane to a 11-4 Colonial Council victory over Voorheesville. 

Jackson Delaney had two singles and an RBI to lead La Salle to a 9-2 victory over Watervliet. 

Jason Stamas went 2 for 3 with two home runs and four RBI to lead Lansingburgh to a 11-1 victory over Cohoes. Grant Laustrup went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBI for Lansingburgh. 

Lucas Pusz had a double, two singles and two RBI as Mohonasen rallied to defeat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 8-5 in eight innings The Mighty Warriors scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie it, and got three runs in the eighth. Drew Coelho added two singles and two RBI for Mohonasen..

Tyler Cannoe had two home runs and three RBI to lead Scotia-Glenville to an 8-0 Foothills Council victory over Johnstown. Addison Schaub had a solo home run, and Justin O’Neil pitched a five-hitter for Scotia-Glenville. 

Ryan Visco had two RBI to lead Broadalbin-Perth to an 8-1 victory over Hudson Falls. 

Tristan Nemjo hit two homers and had five RBI to lead Tamarac to a 12-1 Wasaren League victory over Stillwater.  

Ethan Caiazza went 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Hoosic Valley to a 2-0 victory over Cambridge. 

Matthew Murphy, Jeffrey Brennan, and Peyton Ausfeld each had two RBI to lead Amsterdam to a 13-2 victory over Gloversville.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Suzie Smith and Lauren Mesick scored six goals each to lead Holy Names past Cohoes 19-7 in the Colonial Council. 
Kathleen Harris made 11 saves for Holy Names.

Maddie Montgomery seven goals and four assists to lead Queensbury past Johnstown 27-6 in the Foothills Council. Megan Chase and Briget Duffy both scored four goals. Chase had three assists. 

Taryn Ringer and Ally Queeney each had two goals for Johnstown.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

Schenectady/Mohonasen beat Lansingburgh 18-5 on Tuesday for the first win in program history. Sean Leblanc led the Patriots with six goals and two assists. AJ Guevara scored four goals, and Shamar Canal and Kyle Shendler each had three. Ethan Fish made five saves and Ganesh Govindan followed with three.

Calvin Welch scored three goals for Lansingburgh. JacNeil Baker had nine saves.
