California-based hot dog chain Dog Haus Biergarten will open its first New York location in Clifton Park in June.
According to its website, the restaurant, which not only sells gourmet hot dogs, sausages, chicken, burgers and sliders but will also feature locally-brewed beers, will open on June 1.
Dog Haus Biergarten will operate out of the Shops at Village Plaza.
While the chain announced that it would be moving into town in early March, an opening date was unclear at that point. Instead, the chain only announced in March that it was hiring for the Clifton Park location.
A representative from the Windsor Companies, the Clifton Park-based development company that owns the plaza, could not be reached for comment on the project.
The restaurant will host a “Free Haus Dog” Day on June 1, starting at 11 a.m. Anyone who download’s the restaurant’s mobile app, creates an account, and checks in at the restaurant on opening day will receive one of seven free gourmet hot dogs.
The chain has restaurants located in at least 17 states.
