UPDATE: Niskayuna water main repaired
NISKAYUNA – A large water main break Tuesday has led to a boil water order for about two dozen homes in Niskayuna.
The 20-inch main broke near 1189 Mohawk Road, sending water out onto Mohawk and across the nearby intersection with Rosendale Road.
A small section of one driveway could also be seen buckled.
Schenectady County mid-morning issued a boil water order for a total of 26 homes in the area of the break. The addresses under the order are from 1091 to 1189 Mohawk Road and from 2955 to 3052 Rosendale Road.
Those under the order should boil their water first before drinking it. It should remain at a boil for one minute and let cool before using.
