Fulton County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 31-year-old Gloversville resident Saturday after an alleged assault at the Caroga Lake state campgrounds in Caroga.

Joshua A. Cooper of 7 Maple Ave. intentionally broke a beer bottle and used a portion of it to strike another man in the face, according to sheriff’s deputies. The incident happened around 10 p.m., deputies said.

The victim suffered a facial cut and was treated at the scene.

Police took Cooper into custody and charged him with second-degree assault. He was arraigned by Caroga Town Court Justice James Subik and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secure bond.
