SCHENECTADY — A dance school will be enlarging its Schenectady presence and closing its Glenville location.

Kathy Holtz started Dance Me School of Dance & Character Development at 1619 Union St. in 2015, added a second studio at 1613 Union St. in 2016 and opened a location on Route 50 in Glenville in 2017 to be more convenient to students who live in that area.

She said Tuesday that additional real estate has become available adjacent to the Schenectady location, allowing her to double the studio count there. Dance Me Glenville will continue to operate on its summer schedule, then close in August.

Dance Me offers students as young as 18 months classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, tumbling, Irish, ballroom and hip hop dance.
