SCHENECTADY COUNTY — The state Department of Transportation is doing night-time paving at three locations to avoid doing the work during heavy traffic periods.

The department is paving at Route 7 and Becker Road in Rotterdam — near Interstate-88 Exit 25 — until Friday, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

On Thursday, work will take place at the Rotterdam Five Corners — the intersection of state route 7 and 159, Broadway, and Wallace Avenue in Rotterdam. That work is expected to run through July 3.

The intersection of Route 5 and Vley Road in Glenville, where I-890 ends, will be paved the week of July 8.

For all three sites, DOT will have alternating lanes controlled by flaggers.
