Motorcyclist killed in Fulton County crash

CAROGA – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Monday involving another vehicle, Fulton County Sheriff’s officials said.

The crash happened at about 11:30 a.m. on Route 10 in the Town of Caroga, near Town Hall and the Nathan Littauer Hospital Primary Care Center, officials said.

The motorcyclist was headed south on Route 10 when a northbound vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the Town Hall parking lot when the crash happened, officials said.

A passing motorist, staff at the primary care center and members of the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Department EMS Squad provided medical assistance at the scene. 

GAVAC also treated the man and transported him to Nathan Littauer Hospital, where he died, officials said.

A state ranger and the state police also assisted.

The names of the man who died and of the other driver were not immediately released. The investigation was continuing Monday evening.
