Albany Law School adds financial compliance, risk management programs

Three tracks offered online

ALBANY — Albany Law School has created a suite of online programs for professionals working in the fields of financial compliance and risk management. 

There are three tracks: LL.M. concentration for U.S. or international law school graduates; master of science in legal studies concentration; and advanced professional certificate.

The master’s (30 credits) or LL.M. (24 credits) can be completed in as little as one year. The certificate program (nine credits) can be finished in one semester. Courses include financial crimes; cybersecurity, data privacy, technology and financial markets; risk management and compliance obligations of compliance officers; and introduction to bank regulation.

The programs are designed for individuals looking to take on senior roles such as chief compliance officer, senior risk manager and general counsel, as well as high-ranking positions at financial regulatory offices.
