Police: Seven charged in Schenectady prostitution sting

SCHENECTADY – Seven people were arrested Wednesday in a city Police Department prostitution sting, police said.

Four face prostitution counts, while three face patronizing a prostitute counts, police said.

Members of the Schenectady Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with members of the state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Department participated.

Arrested and charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor, were: Darla Wharry, 41, of Schenectady, Angel Bishop, 39, of Schenectady; Mary Martin, 21, of Schenectady; and Kimberly Cooper, 51, of Schenectady.

Arrested and charged with patronizing a prostitute, a misdemeanor, were: Mookesh Harillal, 20, of Schenectady; Sean Cespedes, 30, of Schenectady; and David Madden, 29, of Schenectady.
