GUILDERLAND – A landlord from Amsterdam stole money from the checking account of a former tenant in Guilderland, state police said Thursday.

Doug Wilsey, 67, of Amsterdam, was charged with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Troopers announced the arrest Thursday, but did not specify when Wilsey was arrested or when he is accused of taking the money.

Troopers also did not specify how much Wilsey is accused of taking, but the charge filed suggests the amount was between $1,000 and $3,000.

Troopers took Wilsey into custody at his Amsterdam home, state police said. He was processed and released to appear in court later.
