NBC Sports Group will televise at least 109 NHL games this season, it was announced Wednesday.

The puck drops on the coverage Wednesday, Oct. 2, when the St. Louis Blues raise their first Stanley Cup championship banner as they host the 2018 Stanley Cup winners, the Washington Capitals, at 8 p.m. That will be followed at 10:30 p.m. by the San Jose Sharks at the Vegas Golden Knights in a rematch of their Stanley Cup Playoffs first-round series won by the Sharks in seven.

As far as the area teams are concerned, the New York Rangers will appear 13 times, the Boston Bruins 12 times, the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils get four appearances each and the New York Islanders are on just twice.
