NISKAYUNA – A three-vehicle accident on Nott Street that involved a town bus sent two people in other vehicles to the hospital, police said.
Police described the injuries to the two as minor. No one on the town bus was injured.
The accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Dean and Nott streets, Police Chief Daniel McManus said.
The town bus, which carried the driver and three passengers, was south on Dean Street at the stop sign, while a Honda driven by Dylan Carlson, 25, of Troy, was on Nott headed toward Schenectady and another Honda, driven by Diane Blaha, 78, of Schenectady was on Dean opposite the bus, McManus said.
The accident happened as Blaha attempted to turn left onto Nott and struck Carlson’s vehicle. The crash then pushed Carlson’s vehicle into the bus, McManus said. The town bus was driven by Massimo Ribeca, 77, a town employee, McManus said.
Blaha was cited for failure to yield the right of way, McManus said.
