PROVIDENCE  — Two men remain hospitalized with serious injuries after a head-on collision Thursday morning in the town of Providence, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department said.

The department on Friday identified those injured as Michael B. Kennedy, 27, of Providence, and Christopher E. Edwards, 43, of Edinburg. Both remain at Albany Medical Center after being airlifted from the accident scene by helicopter.

Deputies said the crash between a pickup truck being driven by Kennedy and an SUV being driven by Edwards occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Potter Hollow Road. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s collision reconstruction unit.
