Gloversville man charged in Monday night stabbing

GLOVERSVILLE — A Gloversville man stabbed another man multiple times Monday night, police said.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. A police press release did not describe the extent of the victim’s injuries further.

Police arrested Justin R. Hill, of 108 Yale St., and charged him with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Monday night in the area of Yale Street and Fifth Avenue. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The Greater Amsterdam Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and took the victim to Albany Med, police said.

Police determined the incident happened at 108 Yale St., the same address as Hill’s listed residence.

Police identified Hill as a suspect and he was arrested and held for arraignment.
