HALFMOON – A Clifton Park man led state police on a short chase Saturday in Halfmoon, state police said.
The incident happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday on Route 9 as troopers attempted to pull the driver over for a series of traffic infractions, state police said.
The driver, later identified as Adam Concepcion Jr., 26, of Clifton Park, instead kept going and troopers gave chase, state police said.
Troopers then got Concepcion stopped a short time later and took him into custody without further incident, state police said.
A search of Concepcion then found him illegally in possession of a quantity of Xanax, state police said.
Concepcion was charged with one count each of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unlawfully fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle and reckless driving, misdemeanors.
Concepcion was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in court later.
