SARATOGA SPRINGS – A planned electrical service upgrade at City Hall will leave city officials without telephone or email services on Tuesday, Nov. 26, city officials announced.
The work, part of the renovations take place at City Hall, will knock out power from about 7 a.m. to midnight.
City offices will still be open at the city Recreation Center and the police department 911 and non-emergency number will still be in operation, but there will be no telephone, email or access to other city electronic systems.
As a result, the finance department will not be receiving tax collections, late payments, or any receivables during that time. The public safety department will not be able to accept parking ticket payments; late fees will not be assessed for this day. The building department will be performing inspections as usual, however no permits or certificates of occupancy can be issued.
Normal services are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
