SCHENECTADY — Union College football senior wide receiver Griffin Beal was recognized Monday as Liberty League Offensive Player of the week.

In Union’s 24-21 comeback win Saturday against Case Western Reserve in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament, Beal had season-high contributions in receptions with 10, receiving yards with 118 and touchdowns with two. Beal also caught a pass for a 2-point conversion.

Union plays Saturday at Salisbury in a second-round game.
