More national recognition arrived Thursday for UAlbany football’s Juwan Green and Eli Mencer.
Both seniors earned spots on this year’s STATS FCS All-America team, with Green earning a first-team spot and Mencer being named to the second team on Thursday. Green, a wide receiver, had 1,386 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns, while Mencer, a defensive lineman, had 14.5 sacks and forced five fumbles.
Previously, Green and Mencer each were recognized with All-ECAC, HERO Sports FCS All-America and Associated Press All-America selections.
