CLIFTON PARK — A Clifton Park man was arrested on a charge of forcibly touching an Uber driver on New Year’s Eve, state police said.
Police charged Jesse A. Foster, 27, with two counts of forcible touching, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police said that shortly before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, a state trooper who was conducting a traffic stop on State Route 146 in Clifton Park was approached by a female Uber driver who asked for help removing a passenger from her vehicle.
Foster is accused groping the driver and subjecting her to unwanted sexual contact as she provided him a ride home. The victim saw the trooper while on the trip to Foster’s home and pulled over to get help.
When the trooper approached the victim’s car and asked Foster to step out, troopers said the man became belligerent. Police took Foster into custody without incident.
Foster was released on an appearance ticket, to appear in Clifton Park Town Court on Jan. 8.
