HALFMOON – A Waterford woman drove drunk Saturday evening in Halfmoon with a child in her car, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said.
Jessica I. Fitch, 29, of Waterford, was stopped on Route 9 just after 8:30 p.m. for moving from her lane unsafely, officials said.
Deputies soon determined Fitch was intoxicated and that she had a child age 15 or younger in her car, officials said.
While a release did not identify Fitch’s total blood alcohol content, she is accused of having a BAC in excess of 0.18 percent. The legal limit to drive is 0.08 percent.
Fitch was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
Fitch was processed and released on appearance tickets to appear in court later.
