CLIFTON PARK – A Clifton Park man drove drunk nearly four times the legal limit when he crashed his car Saturday afternoon, state police said.
The driver, identified as Christopher M. Russell, 35, was taken to the state police barracks in Clifton Park, where his breath sample tested at 0.30 percent. The legal limit to drive is 0.08.
Russell was charged with one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Moe Road, state police said. Troopers responded to a report of a one-car crash, where they found the car and driver and observed signs the driver was intoxicated, troopers said.
Russell refused to complete field sobriety tests at the scene. He then gave the breath sample at the station, state police said.
He was processed and released to appear in court later.
