Amsterdam man sentenced to prison in Saratoga County bathroom surveillance case

BALLSTON SPA – An Amsterdam man has been sentenced to state prison in a Saratoga County bathroom surveillance case, Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office said.

Dominick A. Monge, 24, of Eagle Street, appeared in Saratoga County Court Tuesday and received a total sentence of 18 months to 3 years in state prison, officials said.

Monge pleaded guilty Jan. 24 to one count of second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony, officials said.

Monge was arrested in August, accused of videotaping a person who was using a public restroom at Wilton Mall, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said then.

Monge was accused of using his cell phone to record the victim, officials said then.
