Gloversville Police: Two charged in knife-point robbery

GLOVERSVILLE – Two Gloversville residents have been arrested, accused of robbing someone at knife-point last week, police said.

Shane M. Curran, 27, of Bleecker Street, and Deanna W. Bleyl-Garza, 23, of Fox Street, were each arrested Monday and charged with first-degree robbery, a felony.

Curran was also charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The two are accused of committing the robbery at about 12:30 a.m. March 28 on Yale Street, police said.

Police arrested the pair Monday evening.

Curran and Bleyl-Garza were arraigned in Gloversville City Court. Their custody status Tuesday was not immediately available.
