ALBANY – Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for much of the region, one ending at 5:30 p.m. and another at 6:15 p.m.

The warning ending at 6:15 p.m. covers eastern portions of Fulton and Montgomery counties, as well as much of Schenectady and southwestern Saratoga County.

The earlier warning was issued for all of Schoharie County and portions of Schenectady and Montgomery counties and is to end at 5:30 p.m.

Winds of up to 60 mph and heavy rainfall are possible with the storm.

“Use caution if traveling as heavy rain may reduce visibility,” the service said.

The storms could cause damage to roofs, siding and trees.
