Saratoga Sheriff: Halfmoon woman arrested on weapon charges

HALFMOON — A Halfmoon woman was arrested Friday evening after being accused of pointing a loaded handgun during a domestic dispute, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

Barbara E. Ricco, 65, of Summerville Circle, was arrested on charges including second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment, and second-degree menacing. The weapon and endangerment charges are felonies.

Ricco is accused of pointing a loaded handgun at a family member during the domestic incident, with police being called at 5:22 p.m. Friday. She was arraigned in front of Moreau Town Justice Jeffrey B. McCabe through a centralized virtual court proceeding, and released on her own recognizance.
