
ROTTERDAM – A Niskayuna woman led state police on a chase from I-890 in Rotterdam to Duanesburg this past week, state police said.
Alexandra Priest, 19, of Niskayuna, was arrested after the chase ended in Duanesburg and charged with one count each of unlawful fleeing a police officer, criminal possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment and obstructing governmental administration.
The incident Monday on Interstate 890, state police said in a release Friday. Troopers spotted Priest speeding on I-890 in Rotterdam and attempted to pull her over. Priest instead sped up and led troopers on a chase that ultimately ended on Sterling Road in the Town of Duanesburg when her vehicle became disabled, state police said.
Inside her car, troopers found a 16-year-old passenger and a quantity of LSD, state police said. The 16-year-old was released to a guardian.
Priest was processed and released to appear in court later.
