WARREN COUNTY – A Queensbury man sexually assaulted an 11-year-old and has been arrested, Warren County Sheriff’s officials said.
He is accused of sexually assaulting the child over a period of three years, officials said, and faces up to 25 years to life in prison, if convicted of the top count against him.
Zachary A. Mead, 29, of Woodland Path, Queensbury, was charged with one count of predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony.
The investigation began Sunday when the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received the report of an 11-year-old child sexually assaulted by Mead, officials said.
Detectives investigated and charged Mead Monday. He was held in the Warren County Correctional Facility for arraignment Tuesday.
The case was investigated by Investigator Jesse Wittenberg with assistance from Warren County CPS.
