BENSON, Vermont – A tractor trailer driver from Schenectady was killed early Sunday in a one vehicle crash in Vermont, Vermont State Police said.
Dennis A. Stissi, 50, of Schenectady, died at the scene of the crash, state police said.
The crash happened at about 1:22 a.m. on Vermont Route 22A in Benson, Vt. Troopers arrived to find the tractor trailer fully engulfed in flames, state police said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation later Sunday. Troopers there asked that anyone with information to contact them at 802-773-9101.
The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles Inspection Division, Benson Fire Department, Benson Rescue Department, Orwell Fire Department, Fair Haven Fire Department, Granville Fire Department and Earles Truck Repair.
