NISKAYUNA — Town officials in partnership with Yankee Trails and The Bus Stop Club will be part of a sight and sound scene on Thursday.

The Yankee Trails “Hope Bus” will roll on town roads collecting non-perishable items to benefit the Niskayuna Central School District community. Characters “Lightning McQueen” and “Waldo” also will be along for the ride.

The bus will leave Edwin D. Reilly Jr. Niskayuna Town Hall at 10 a.m. and cruise around town until 3:15 p.m.

Residents are asked to leave donated items in a bag with handles  near their mailboxes or at the end of their driveways. Volunteers will then easily be able to collect the items.
