AMSTERDAM – A traffic stop this week in Amsterdam netted a fugitive parolee from California, state police said.

Troopers arrested Michael M. Flores, 33, of Amsterdam after they determined he was wanted in California due to a parole violation and that California would extradite, state police said.

Flores was a passenger in a vehicle stopped then for a traffic violation on Lindbergh Avenue in Amsterdam Monday night, state police said.

He was taken into custody, sent to the Montgomery County Jail without bail.
