BALLSTON SPA — The man arrested last year in a string of Clifton Park home burglaries was sentenced Monday to 15 years in state prison, the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office said.
Tyler E. Lester, 26, of Clifton Park, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of second-degree burglary, felonies.
Judge James A. Murphy III sentenced Lester by video conference with all parties present, including victims, prosecutors said.
Lester was arrested in October while walking on Moe Road about 5 a.m. after deputies responded to burglary reports in the area.
Investigators then linked 13 burglaries or attempted burglaries in the area to Lester. He pleaded guilty in two, but his guilty pleas cover all 13, prosecutors said.

Sheriff’s investigators had been looking into the string of burglaries that began Oct. 4. The burglaries were reported in residential neighborhoods in the Crescent Road, Moe Road, Lapp Road and Grooms Road areas, officials said.
Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen cited help from residents, residential surveillance footage and a witness who spotted Lester.
“For nearly two weeks Lester was active in Clifton Park and local law enforcement were flooded with leads and information that helped to positively identify him as the perpetrator,” Heggen said in a news statement. “This truly is an example of a community coming together with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office to stop crime.”
