State Police: Schoharie County woman violates order of protection, then again hours after arrest, release

SHARON SPRINGS – A Sharon Springs woman violated an order of protection Sunday evening, got arrested, then violated it again hours later, state police said.

Jennifer Larkin, 37, now face misdemeanor contempt charges related to both incidents. She was arraigned and released after the first incident, then arraigned and ordered held on $1,000 bail after the second, state police said.

The first incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday as a Sharon Springs resident reported Larkin showed up at the property in violation of a stay away order of protection, state police said.

Troopers responded, took Larkin into custody and charged her with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. She was then arraigned and released.

But, but 11:53 p.m., she was back at the Sharon Springs residence of the protected person, state police said.

Troopers again responded and she initially refused to follow commands, state police said. Troopers ultimately got her into custody and charged her again. For that incident she was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, obstruction of governmental administration, misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a violation.

She was arraigned again and ordered held on $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond, state police said.
