Police: Gloversville man charged with February threat to business

GLOVERSVILLE – A Gloversville man has been arrested in connection with a February threat to a city business, police said.

Alexander S. Kumar, 49, of Grand Street, was charged Monday with one count of making a terroristic threat, a felony.

Kumar is accused of contacting a local business via mail Feb. 21 and stating that a bomb had been placed in the building, police said.

Police investigated and a warrant was put out for Kumar’s arrest. Police arrested him on that warrant Monday evening, police said.
