Police: Shots fired incident investigated in Amsterdam; Five rounds fired from car at three people

AMSTERDAM – Amsterdam Police are investigating a shots fired incident where someone fired five shots from a car at three people, police said.

No injuries have been reported, though all three people shot at fled the scene and none of the three have come forward to police, police said. There was no evidence of injury at the scene and there had been no hospital reports that could be connected to the shooting, police said.

The incident happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Guy Park Avenue, police said.

Reports indicated that the three men were walking west on Guy Park Avenue when a vehicle pulled up near them and someone fired five rounds at the men, police said.

The three men then each fled in different directions while the suspect vehicle drove off west on Guy Park Avenue, police said.

The investigation was continuing Monday with a neighborhood canvas and ongoing interviews. Police ask that anyone with home surveillance footage in the area contact police.
