Recent Niskayuna graduate withdraws from school board race

Ronald Sandroni will appear on the ballot but should not be considered a candidate, district says

NISKAYUNA — Ronald Sandroni has withdrawn from the Niskayuna school board election, a district spokesman said Wednesday.

Sandroni, a 2014 graduate who argued the district has diminished its reputation in recent years, will still appear on the ballot but is no longer a candidate.

Sandroni did not respond to a message Wednesday morning.

Voters will be asked in the June 9 election to fill two board seats. Incumbent Jennifer Zhao is running, as well as Sarah Rogerson and Tim Brennan.
