NISKAYUNA – Two Schenectady men have been arrested in connection with an investigation into a string of thefts from vehicles, Niskayuna Police said.
Johnson Gooden-Prunty, 25, and Olijajwuan Sheppard, 19, both of Schenectady, were each charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
The two were arrested related to a rash of thefts from vehicles over the span of two months, from March 4 until May 2, police said.
The arrest was made as the result of a joint investigation with the Niskayuna, Rotterdam and Guilderland police departments, along with the Schenectady County Street Crimes Task Force, police said.
Gooden-Prunty and Sheppard were released on the Niskayuna charges, but turned over to the other agencies for the filing of other charges, according to the Niskayuna release. The Niskayuna release did not outline charges in other jurisdictions.
