SCHENECTADY – City police Tuesday night responded to shots fired on Broad Street in Schenectady.

One house was hit, but no injuries were reported, according to information available at the scene.

The call came in just after 10 p.m. to Broad Street, near Helderberg Avenue in Schenectady. Arriving officers found multiple shell casings.

Officers had the area taped off and they could be seen placing evidence markers around the scene. 

The incident happened as city police continue to investigate two recent fatal shootings.

Fred Gentry, 48, of Schenectady, was shot and killed May 19 on Victory Avenue in the Vale neighborhood. A woman was also injured in that shooting. Then, May 23, Duane Todman, 27, of Schenectady, was shot and killed near the corner of Craig and Stanley Streets in Hamilton Hill. No arrests have been made in either homicide.
