Queens men charged with possession in Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Two Queens men were charged with felony drug possession early Friday morning, Saratoga Springs police said.

Mario T. Gonzalez, 31, and Miguel A, Santana, 29, both of Far Rockaway, are charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and other drug-related charges. Gonzalez is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and speeding.

Police said the men were stopped about 2:20 a.m. on Route 50 south of Hutchins Road. Following an investigation, police said 20 grams of cocaine were seized from Santana, and more than two grams of heroin were seized from Gonzalez, along with over $2,000 in cash.

The men were being held awaiting arraignment, police said.
