WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: Graduating during a global pandemic is certainly an eerie atmosphere. Many of us seniors were looking forward to the senior festivities such as Spring sports, senior trip, prom, senior walk-thru, bachelorette, and graduation. However, in times like these we are finding ways to make new memories.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES THIS SEMESTER: I learned that distance does not define unity. Although we are all separated, we still feel a sense of connection. We may not walk through the halls of Fort Plain High again, but we have made our own memories. From Google Meets, to Facetime, we have found a way to still make the most of our high school experience given the circumstances.
WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: During Spirit Week our class choreographed a dance to “It’s Tricky” by Run D.M.C. We had the whole class involved, and it was a lot of fun.
WHAT YOU WILL MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: Baseball will definitely be one of the things that I miss most in high school. On top of the success, the bond that our team had as a whole, and with our coaches was very special to me. Also, I will miss the relationships that I’ve built with my teachers. My teachers, specifically in the last few years have been instrumental in my progression to an adult.
WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Riley Green, Zac Brown Band, Nickelback
BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: Moving on to the next chapter of my life, with one of my best friends. Also, attending college with my brother, Drew.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: My mom, Shannon, looking down from above and my family.
