Delicia Thomas

PARENTS: David and Pamela Thomas

COLLEGE OR OTHER PLANS: I will be going to Russell Sage College, and I will be majoring in Law and Society.

AFTER COLLEGE: I plan on continuing my studies at a law school to become a lawyer.

WHAT IS IT LIKE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC: Graduating during a global pandemic is eye opening. At first it was a bit scary, but my teachers, friends, and family made adjusting to this new setting easy.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR CLASSMATES: I learned that my classmates and I are a lot stronger than we think. When things got hard and our senior year came to an unexpected end, we didn’t give up. Instead, we got stronger and we learned to depend on God.

WHAT IS A MEMORY OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR YOU’LL NEVER FORGET: The class skit we did during the high school retreat.

WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL: I will miss my second family most. For the last five years, I have grown to love each and every person at Mekeel, and leaving is going to be hard.

WHAT’S IN YOUR MUSIC PLAYER: Lately, I have been listening to Run To The Father by Cody Carnes.

BEST PART ABOUT GRADUATING: The best part about graduating is getting the opportunity to find out what God will do with me during this new chapter of my life.

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU: My mother and father inspire me the most.
